XII GRIEVANCE PROCESSING/COMMITTEE
 

A.

The Executive Board shall adopt, with the approval of the Representative Council, the procedures for grievance processing

 

B.

These procedures shall include, but not be limited to, the following.

   

1.

Provide for representation to assist all members of the bargaining unit(s) in processing grievances.

   

2.

Training for handling grievances; and

   

3.

Evaluation of the Association’s grievance policies and procedures.

 

C.

The members of the Grievance Committee shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors.

   

1.

The Grievance Committee shall be responsible for implementing the Association’s grievance program, per Standing rules and negotiated agreement between the Association and District.

   

2.

The Grievance Committee shall be responsible to the Board of Directors for implementing the grievance process within the objectives of the Association.

   

3.

Procedures for members to appeal decisions regarding arbitration shall be delineated in the Standing Rules.

   

4.

Replacements to fill vacancies for any reason, including the subsequent withdrawal of one or more members, shall be made by the same process as for the initial appointment.
