XII | GRIEVANCE PROCESSING/COMMITTEE | ||
A. |
The Executive Board shall adopt, with the approval of the Representative Council, the procedures for grievance processing |
||
B. |
These procedures shall include, but not be limited to, the following. |
||
1. |
Provide for representation to assist all members of the bargaining unit(s) in processing grievances. |
||
2. |
Training for handling grievances; and |
||
3. |
Evaluation of the Association’s grievance policies and procedures. |
||
C. |
The members of the Grievance Committee shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors. |
||
1. |
The Grievance Committee shall be responsible for implementing the Association’s grievance program, per Standing rules and negotiated agreement between the Association and District. |
||
2. |
The Grievance Committee shall be responsible to the Board of Directors for implementing the grievance process within the objectives of the Association. |
||
3. |
Procedures for members to appeal decisions regarding arbitration shall be delineated in the Standing Rules. |
||
4. |
Replacements to fill vacancies for any reason, including the subsequent withdrawal of one or more members, shall be made by the same process as for the initial appointment. |
