Scholarship Committee

The Garden Grove Education Association is offering seven (7) GGEA Scholarships to graduating seniors of the Garden Grove Unified School District and to GGEA members' children who are graduating seniors in other school districts. All seven scholarships are provided from the dues of GGEA members.

Two (2) of the seven scholarships are designated as available only to a child of current, retired, deceased, or disabled Association members. Students who apply may be considering any field of study, and must be entering a junior college, four-year college, or university in the Fall. Criteria for selection of all seven awards will be financial need, academic achievement, volunteer work, service to the community, and school activities.  In addition to the above criteria, one scholarship, the “Arlene Pavey Scholarship,” is designated for an applicant with a passion to pursue a career in education.

The awards are $2,000 each payable at the beginning of the Fall semester once the student turns in registration information confirming that they will be attending college on a full-time basis.

All students chosen as semi-finalists must be available for personal interviews with the Scholarship Committee at their designate time. Click image below to apply for 2022 scholarships.
